Denver, Colorado (1/24/2000) --- Johns Manville’s (JM’s) Building Insulation Division has made several strategic staff changes after a review of business processes, organizational structure and strategies, to position the company for continued growth through acquisitions, market expansion and premier customer service.
“This reorganization is part of a plan to aggressively meet corporate goals and shareholder expectations for a strong and growing company,” said Tom Caltrider, senior vice president, Insulation Group.
The key staff changes in the Building Insulation Division include:
- Greg Clarke has been promoted to vice president and general manager for Building Insulation. Previously, he was director of finance for the Insulation Group, which includes JM’s Building Insulation Division and its Commercial & Industrial Insulation Division. Prior to joining JM in 1997, Clarke held executive positions with PepsiCo, Inc., and The Coleman Company, Inc., where he developed a strong background in strategy development and operations.
- David Skelly has been promoted to director of marketing for Building Insulation. He was most recently group marketing manager for Mechanical Insulation. Skelly has been with JM for 18 years, during which he has held various sales and marketing positions. He is active in many insulation trade associations and, recently, was the first representative from a manufacturer to serve as president of the Western Insulation Association (WIA). Skelly replaces Steve Wing, who has moved into the position of business director for Mechanical Insulation.
Greg Clarke said he sees various growth opportunities on the JM horizon. “The sustained growth in the U.S. economy has fueled an ongoing wave of new residential and commercial construction,” he said. “We’re also seeing greater market demand for thermal efficiency and sound control upgrades. Our strategic capacity expansions have positioned us well to fully capitalize on these market opportunities and grow JM’s insulation business.”
