Johns Manville Unveils Simplified Packaging Redesign in Canada

Denver, Colorado (6/10/1999) --- After conducting market research and compiling customer feedback, Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer of building insulation products, has announced a simplified packaging redesign in Canada aimed at providing a consistent look for all residential applications.

In an effort to simplify presentation, yet maintain a consistent brand appearance, JM has created four basic packages available to the contractor and retail markets. Packaging is categorized by major application including the addition of engineered wood, an emerging construction method. The four packages include Wood Frame, Steel Frame, Engineered Wood and Sound-SHIELD™.

"By separating the packages according to application, we were able to consolidate our retail and contractor packaging," said Terry Sullivan, Johns Manville's group marketing manager. "We believe this will build a stronger JM brand, make ordering more convenient and warehousing more efficient."

The new packaging recently began migrating into the market and will be complete by June. The new Steel and Wood Frame packaging entered the market in late February; Engineered Wood entered in May; and Sound-SHIELD will be completed in June.
