Job Site Inspection

When you arrive at the site, make certain that you are at the correct location. Look for the street or lot number on the curb, door, building permit or mailbox. If you can’t find the site, follow your employer’s policy and procedures.

Introduce yourself and give the name of your company to the homeowner or person in charge of the job site, and check with other trades so they know you’ll be working there, too. After you have located the work area, take a few minutes to inspect it carefully.

Fiber glass insulation should be installed just before the interior finish is applied. This means that the following work has been performed:
The roofing is finished, and doors, windows, sub-flooring and sheathing are in place, so the building is secure from wind and moisture.
And plumbing, wiring, and heating-ventilating-air conditioning work have been completely roughed in and inspected.

Be sure to check electrical wires for complete insulation wraps. If any wires are exposed, it will create a fire hazard in the building.
