Work Orders

The first step is to pick up a work order from your supervisor. This document will be your main source of information about the job.

The customer’s name and address, the address of the job site, a description of the work to be done, an estimate of the type of Johns Manville materials you will need and the quantity.

It’s important for you to have a good understanding of the job before you leave the warehouse. Get clear directions to the job site. Check to see whether you are expected to fill in any information on the work order yourself. This might include the names of installers assigned to the job; the number of hours worked and the materials that were used; the date of job completion — or, if the job cannot be completed, the reason why not.
