Q:  How do I submit my resume?
A:  If you find an opening through an Internet job board, you may submit your resume through that source. To submit your resume through the Johns Manville site, go to Career Opportunities on the main Careers page, find an opening that matches your skills and experience, and follow the instructions.


Q:  If I see a Johns Manville job on an Internet job board like Monster®, should I submit my resume through that job board or should I submit it to the Johns Manville Web site?
A:  While you may submit a resume either through a job board or to the Johns Manville Careers site, it will get to the right recruiter faster if you submit it to the Johns Manville Careers site. It is not necessary to submit your resume to both sources.


Q:  Can I submit a resume to Johns Manville without selecting a specific job?
A:  No. Resumes may only be submitted in reference to specific job openings and we do not retain previously submitted resumes. Therefore, you must submit your resume for each opening separately.


Q:  Where does my resume go once I submit it?
A:  When you submit a resume online it goes to Human Resources. It is reviewed to determine if it matches the current opening for which you submitted. If your resume matches the opening, it will be forwarded to the hiring manager for review.


Q:  Will I be notified that my resume has been received?
A:  Johns Manville receives thousands of resumes each year, so we can’t respond to every one. If you submit your resume online, you will see a confirmation that the submission process was completed. This assures you that we’ve received your submission.


Q:  Will I be notified if my resume matches the open position for which I submitted?
A:  If a hiring manager believes your resume is a good match, he or she may contact you for an interview. It is up to a hiring manager to make that contact. A hiring manager may not contact every candidate who submits a resume for a particular opening.


Q:  Where are Johns Manville’s locations?
A:  See our online maps that give you some idea of our locations around the world. Each country has an individual process for recruitment and hiring. Generally, open positions in Europe and other countries are not advertised through our United States recruitment channels.

Q:  Does Johns Manville offer life-long learning?
A:  Some basic job skills are expected from our new employees. However, JM does provide training that allows you to improve and enhance your skills. All Johns Manville employees have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through courses offered through the JM Development Center. Our flexible educational courses are designed to meet your scheduling and learning needs as you can choose from classroom, web-based, CD, audiotape and even fax-based instruction. As a Johns Manville employee, you are also eligible to participate in an educational assistance program and receive financial reimbursement for certain educational courses offered outside of Johns Manville.
