Q:  Why have I not received reimbursement for prescriptions purchased at a pharmacy?
A:  If you are a Basic Plus Major Medical or Consumer Choice Health Plan participant and use a CIGNA participating pharmacy, CIGNA will process your prescription claims electronically. If you do not use a CIGNA participating pharmacy, send your paid pharmacy receipts along with a CIGNA Group Medical Direct Claim Form to CIGNA, using the address that is located on the reverse side of your CIGNA medical ID card. If you haven't received reimbursement from CIGNA within four weeks, please contact CIGNA to check on the claim status.

For all other CIGNA plan participants, if you use a Medco Health participating pharmacy, Medco Health will process your prescription claim electronically. If you do not use a Medco Health participating pharmacy, contact Medco Health at 1.800.711.0924 to request a claim form. You will need to fill out the claim form, attach the pharmacy receipts and mail into Medco Health for reimbursement.

Q:  Why is CIGNA telling me that I don't have ANY prescription drug coverage?
A:  If you are a participant in any CIGNA plan other than Basic Plus Major Medical or Consumer Choice Health Plan, you prescription drug coverage is with Medco Health.

For participants in Basic Plus Major Medical or Consumer Choice Health Plan, prescription drug coverage is managed under CIGNA's medical system, not its pharmacy system. The pharmacy system WILL NOT recognize you as a participant, and will inform you that you are responsible for 100% of the cost of prescriptions.

To ensure you receive correct information regarding prescription drug coverage as well as medical claims coverage, press option 2 (medical claims) when calling CIGNA at 1.800.244.6224.

Q:  Why do I still have to submit my Medicare Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to CIGNA?
